PGCE vs SCITT
Hi,
I've been offered to study a PGCE both at Cambridge university, as well as through a local SCITT training provider (salaried route). However I can't choose between the two!
I'm so confused, because I've heard awful things about the placements being really far away in Cambridge, but then again I've spoken to a few people who were allocated relatively close.
On the other hand the SCITT is in my local area, its salaried, paves way for future employment opportunities at the same school, and it gives you both the PGCE qualification as well as QTS.
I just don't want to miss out on the academic opportunity of a lifetime by studying in Cambridge, but I can't seem to figure out what the best thing for me would be.
Any help/advice??
