Reputation vs Ranking

According to the ranking Loughborough is higher than Leeds .
But people say to join Leeds as it is more reputed.
So should I look at reputation or ranking ???

Hi Subhashini17

Rankings and reputations help you make your shortlist. After than you need to look more in depth.
See which course suits your career aspirations the best, see what else they have to offer in terms of facilities, extra-curricular activities (that can build your CV), support, employability, student experience, sport etc etc.

If you're looking for 2019 entry - get booked on to open days - there's nothing better than visiting as it'll give you a real idea of whether you can see yourself at that uni or not.

Hope that helps

Neither.

Which course sets you up better for your future career? Which course would you find more interesting academically? In which location would you prefer to spend 3+ years of your life? Which uni has better facilities for the extra-curricular things you want to do?

Go visit and you'll get a feel for the one that's best for you.

Neither, I looked at none of those two things when considering my unis.
Consider the course, location, facilities, student life. Everything that you want from the uni.
