A -level biology: respiration query AQA

Hi, I'm not sure if this is a bit of a silly question but I just want to double check and hear some other AQA A-level biology students (past and present) opinions.

So in Aerobic respiration (Unit 5) when pyruvate is converted into Acetyl. We have been told in school to write decarboxylation (removal of CO2), however, in every markscheme I have come across that involves this type of reaction it has always stated "Carbon dioxide released".

I realise that they mean the same thing, would just like to if I am risking losing a mark for using the word 'decarboxylation' instead.

(I do realise that I could just write CO2 is released, but nonetheless I am curious)
Thanks x
