Question 2: The force of gravity between two objects, F, can be modeled by the equation F=Gm1m2/d^2, where G is a constant, m1 and m2 are the masses of the two objects, and d is the distance between them. If the distance between the two objects were to double, what would happen to the force of gravity between them?

Option A: It would double
Option B: It would decrease by half

Hey! I'm also doing the SAT. anyways...

Q1. 5miles/h * 2h + xh * 5miles/h = 15miles/h * xh
If you solve for the above, which just says that the distance is equal, you will get x = 1. Thus, it is 1 hour.

Q2.
Option D is the answer. Substitute 2d into the equation, and you see that the answer becomes 1/4 of the original quantity. Thus, it has been reduced by three quarters.
Thank you so much!
