Not particularly. England are a lower tier historically to (in particular) Italy, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, maybe France - contrary to the press every bloody tournament, England are not a side that should expect to go further than the quarters. Last semi was 28 years ago, before that was 24 years earlier, 16 years after first competing. A semi once every couple of decades is England's level.
Yeah I get that. I meant more in the way that it's something to be excited about though!
