Any Manchester students who go bin diving?

I live in Greater Manchester but all the supermarket bins are usually behind fences.

Somebody on another forum suggested getting a meter key but I think you'd get into more trouble for trespassing, even if it is already kind of illegal to steal from bins anyway.

I was wondering if there's a community in Manchester who bin dive and know the best places to do it.
Is there a reason you want to bin dive? Is it for survival or just for fun?

If it's the second one, supermarket bins are really disgusting.

If there is going to be a community of bin divers, Manchester'd be the place.:yy:
There certainly is, I used to house share with people who went skipping. But I lost contact with most of them a few years ago. Have a nosey on facebook at some Manchester groups. I'd suggest vegan groups and definitely The OK Cafe - it's a kind of DIY community centre that temporarily sets up in abandoned buildings. They put on all kinds of informal events for anyone and everyone, art groups, film screenings, parties etc and serve home brewed alcohol and vegan meals all for free. I'm pretty sure that they relied on skipping. Good luck!
Also, they used a radiator key that looked like this
