GCSE requirements

Are GCSE requirements actually required? Most of my courses require a 6 at GCSE maths but i only got a 5 and im having a meltdown because im scared i wont even get an offer. I study Statistics at Alevel if that sways anything?

I am very impatiently awaiting a response by refreshing track 100x a day. With my course it says the GCSE grade doesn't matter if you take maths A level so I feel that you should hopefully be fine if you're taking statistics.
