For anything other than medical school. You only need Maths and English at grade 4 (C)

It really depends where you are going and what you are going to study. Entry requirements can vary in all courses.

Low GCSE results for medicine:
Bristol & Exeter
Leicester
St. Andrews
Newcastle
Imperial College London
& other universities (a lot of BMAT unis don’t have any formal GCSE requirements).

For other courses you should research and find the most common entry requirements for your wanted degree.

Exeter is low gcses but need high alevels
st andrews (idrk but it priorities students living that area e.g ireland (idk where it is just know its not england))
Leicester is not low they rank gcses
bristol is quite low but grade 7 needed for maths
Newcastle states no gcse requirements but you need to supposedly pass maths and english
bmat unis are gone now they were oxbridge, bsms, UCL, imperial and Lancaster
Southampton is low gcses requirements

Hi @Sarah1911sa,
It tends to vary based on what course you apply for and at which university. For instance, if you are wanting to study a STEM degree they might have slightly higher Maths gcse requirements than English gcse requirements. When you find a course your interested in, it should say there entry requirements for A levels as well as gcse's on their website, if not you might have to email the department to find these out.
Hope this helps!

Exeter a level requirements is AAA, st andrews does not state that applicants need to live close by, i meant central leincester, BMAT unis will most likely keep the same entry requirements as their admission tests will most likely not require it.

If its for medicine Exeter has a scoring booklet you need AAA and a very high ucat If you have A*A*A* you will have lower ucat requirement exeter is where you go with high A levels in fact for 2022 entry if you had AAA top ucat u were not getting an interview
if your talking about UCLAN then it only excepts people in a certain geographical area for medicine
St andrews doesnt state it but your just lowering your chances if you apply their as scottish and wales and irish unis usually prefer home (the specific part of uk they are in) candidates and have higher requirements for rest of uk
