Any Mental Health Nurses able to give any advice?

Just enquiring as to whether there are any Mental Health nurses out there who is able to give me advice one what your general day to day is like working on an Acute Mental Health Unit? Is it a save environment to work in?
I’m a HCA working in General Med but I’ve always fancied Mental Health, I have an interview upcoming, however I don’t want to make a mistake and make the wrong decision in doing something I won’t enjoy? Do you enjoy your job?
Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.
