Actuarial Science Masters

I'm set to graduate this year with a 2.1 in maths and was wondering whether or not is would be worth applying for an MSc in actuarial science. My main motivation has been that graduate jobs are now much rarer due to the current world situation. What are people's opinions on the masters vs trying to get a graduate job?

Do you know how many exemptions you have already gained from your maths degree?

That's unlucky, I know some people who were able to apply for 1 or 2 from their degrees. But the MSc probably gives you exemptions from all the core modules so it doesn't matter really. Lots of people will turn to masters degrees for Sept 2020 but because actuarial is quite niche the job market hasn't been that badly affected if that's a career you're thinking of.

Get a graduate job. Not necessarily strictly actuarial, you can also try risk management / data science in pricing / asset management in life and pensions. I become more and more sceptical about people with a bunch of exemptions from their degrees and zero real life experience (actuarial manager here).
