Hi so i want to apply for the EDMP A101 at kings. Do i have to apply to the A100 as well? And if I do, does this count as two applications out of the 4 i get??? also will it be even more competitive to get into the A101 than the A100??? any help appreciated!!!!
This might be one for the GEM 2021 thread: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=5332212&p=89268612&page=71#post89268612

AFAIK, you don't have to apply to A100 to apply to A101, and A101 is typically more competitive (fewer spaces etc).

and/or @TheGraduateMedic can probably advise more/correct me if I'm wrong!

King's a101 is not grad entry, it's their 6-year foundation course.

To OP, afaik:
- no, you Don't have to apply to both
- yes, if you do it will count as 2 spots out of your 4
- probably, A101 will be more competitive (but I Don't know for sure as less people will meet the criteria - some focussed googling could prob tell you the answer)

Oh no, I’m an idiot, sorry! :colondollar: I’m used to A101 as the grad entry code!
Apologies again - you may still want to see if there’s a thread for it, though, OP?

Afraid I'm a GEM person and Don't know anything about it - but I think there's a foundation courses group somewhere, try asking in there.

It's still early in the application cycle. Last year the threads weren't even made until 30th June!

gcses: one 9, seven 8s, one 7, one 6
dk predictions yet but likely to be: A*AB (maybe A*AA)

extra curricular: no work ex in hospital/care home etc but did volunteering at library for OAPs coffee morning, etc. Also done online work ex. Piano grade 3 but stopped taking ABRSM grades 2 years back, netball for 5+ years competitively and set up skl sixth form team, senior prefect (set up skl Instagram account), helped w some dementia care home project, made my own medical insta thing which is kinda successful, worked on an international project -European Connect for 8 weeks, brilliant club project, helped to make medical club @ school and did bake sales, etc to raise money for BHF, and i think that's what i can remember. there are other bits and stuff but that's most of it (also i kn you asked for extra curricular but i may have added some extra stuff...oops)

apologies if that isn't in a clear format!!

wbu?
Will doing 4 A levels lead to an instant rejection? My school won’t let me drop a subject *sigh. Looking at past stats, nobody applied with 4 subjects so I’m not sure.

Gcses - 998887765
Predictions - probably A*AAA.

I used to attend the kcl medicine and dentistry lecture series and they said that you have to be eligible to apply to the EMDP course, and if i am not wrong they are, being a part of their k+ programmes or being from a certain area.
Everyone in my school applied with 4 subjects and some do get offers.

Did they apply for the 6 year programme (emdp) or 5 year? And we’re their grades all As / A*s?

Hi guys! I wanted to make a thread for people applying through EMDP for Medicine!

My current stats:h:ey
Predictions: AAB
GCSE's: A*AAABBBBCC
UCAT: 612.5
SJT: Band 2

Share your current stats on this thread! We can also discuss interview offers, placement offers, as well as interview prep, etc. when the time comes!

Hey how did you do, did you get interview etc... I am applying this year and have similar stats
@ecoiler I got a notification from EMDP 2020 entry and was redirected here... did the thread get deleted? I wanted to stick around till results day to see how it went for the rest of them, since I'm not necessarily in direct contact with a lot of people on the course, despite talking to them on TSR
