What books do you recommend about academy's and magic?

Also if possible the book can be a series with the themes of action, adventure and magic.

I would highly recommend the Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy. It is based upon magic and has themes of mystery, action and comedy.

- The Umbrella Academy (comic)
- Have heard His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman has a sort of academy in it
- The Worst Witch is good (although its based for younger readers but still a good read)

Schools (without magic)
- Malory Towers / Twins @ St Clares /Naughtiest girl in the school which are academies school stories non- magic though
