‘The changing character of a place over time is more effectively represented by statistical and cartographical sources than artistic sources such as painting, poetry and photography.’ With reference to either your local or distant place; critically assess the extent to which you agree with this statement. 20 marks

Haha I’ve just been doing a changing places 20 marker too!

First is to choose if you would prefer to write about your local or distant place, and then think about how it has been represented through the different mediums - film, art, statistics etc.

Then make up your mind as to which side of the argument you’re going to take (which is more effectively representative), and compare how the two different mediums have been representing the place through time (and which is most accurate)
