Geography Coursework - how should I approach my topic??

I am doing my independent investigation on evictions and homelessness and would like to relate/link it to the human rights topic. My teacher has recommended me to base it off of a theory which I found - the conflict theory - however, I don't know how to approach the investigation in itself. What should my question be? Like...To what extent...? or How does the conflict theory...? I really don't know how to focus this...

How does the conflict theory impact upon geography? How does the conflict theory affect geographical events? How do geographers view conflict theory? To what extent is conflict theory relevant to geographers?
Those are some examples of good questions to ask. Research conflict theory online and make notes. Use the notes as a source of fodder for your essay as well. Having read the first part of your post I strongly recommend linking back to the topic of your essay.
