Worth applying to DPhil Oxford/PhD Cambridge in philosophy?

Hi, I really want to continue my studies in philosophy, but the problem is that I didn't do philosophy at undergrad. I have a BA 1st class in English and an MA with distinction in philosophy, both from Bristol, but both courses at Oxbridge say that they want undergraduate degrees in philosophy. I really don't want to have to spend more on doing the BPhil or MPhil. I'm also worried about not having any publications yet, I really didn't have the time or good enough mental health to try to get my work published after uni since I had to start earning money straight away, and I don't know how you're supposed to be able to get work experience doing philosophy research as it suggests 😐 is it not worth applying to Oxbridge at all? Can anyone who has applied suggest whether they think it's worthwhile?
Drop them an email and ask. It's not a typical situation because people usually specialise in the same subject as their undergrad. You have already studied philosophy at a higher level so it may be ok, but unless anyone on here has been in the exact same situation or works in admissions, we can't really give a definite answer.

Thanks. I emailed the admissions department at Oxford and they redirected me to the FAQ section, where it basically says 'maybe, it depends'. I was just wondering if anyone had had a similar experience.
