Practical investigation/ Psychological investigation/ Experimental research

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some help, please. I've been asked to produce a correlation analysis on the effects of social media use and stress. As part of that, I need to create a rationale (reason for the study) based on gaps in previous research I have found. I'm finding this so hard !! It cannot be the aim of the study, which is a separate question.

It is really hard to find a gap in the research online? There are so many studies done on this subject. It's not supposed to be a hard question from what I can gather. What is it that I'm missing? Please help!
