GCSE remark

I have just gotten my results.
In computer science, I received a grade 8. I am 3 marks from a 9 and 10 marks from a 7.
I’m thinking of getting a remark.
I know there’s risk of dropping some marks and possibly an entire grade.
What should I do?

i don’t think you would drop a grade as losing 10 marks is quite unlikely
my teacher said most appeals don’t result in a change in grade but you never know, and if you look at your script beforehand it gives you a better idea as to if it’s worth the remarking
but either way an 8 is still really really good
update:
I got remarked and gained only 1 mark.
but I found out I actually got a grade 9 on the test, but as I had covid and missed the first exam. they gave me an 8 overall. sad
