GCSE English Tips and Tricks!

Hi everyone!

A quick point to note:
I thought it would be useful to create some threads for different subjects with a culmination of resources on to revise off of - I can always edit any extra recommendations (with credit to the user) onto this post.

Advice from @Learning4Fun (Me):

There are lots of great English Youtubers out there, but some of the best include:

In terms of websites I have a few personal favourites, including:

https://www.descriptionari.com/ For English Language

https://www.gcsepod.com/ For both Language and Literature

https://edisodes.com/ For English Literature

https://shakespeare-navigators.ewu.edu/ For English Literature

Other general advice would be to read lots and practise past papers, which is something a lot of people don't realise is possible with English!

Advice from @*LifeHappens*:
Hi!
My recommendations for English Lit GCSE (resources) :
- PMT is so underrated and has epic notes + practice papers
- CGP is great for condensing, although it doesn't go too in-depth
- York Notes is amazing to give extra points and analysis
My advice for English Lit GCSE:
I would summarise key topics into one A4 page, to condense the quotes + techniques. Analysis and key points are the best way, imo. If you are memorising quotes, I recommend memorising a couple of key themes/ points to go with them for more marks + never forget to talk about structure, form and language for higher marks!
I haven't included english lang, as I haven't started the gcse yet. however, I hoped that helped and good luck for exams!
