Mash Potato OR Potato Waffles?
Mash and waffles are great but which starchy accompaniment do you prefer? I love mash when they're bangers and a good cheesy mash is lovely. Waffles I like for their crispness and they look more interesting than other potato-based foods.

I mean I'm pretty sure if you stamped your mashed potatoes into a waffle shape then baked them in the oven they'd have much the same texture is my point

Mash, all the time mash. You can't beat smooth mash (no lumps, any lumps, you've not done it right).
Best way is the way I've been taught at home. Bit of butter, milk and you don't stop until all the lamps are gone!
