Manchester Uni Physics

Manchester requires A*A*A in with A* in both Maths and Physics but I'm only predicted A*AAA (with A* in Maths). Do you think I can apply to do Physics there with these grades??

Really? In general for all un's is this the case? Say your offer is A*AA and you have AAA can you not even apply to be considered in general?

Of course you can apply. You might want to ask in advance whether they are likely to consider such an application.

Many Unis make 'aspirational' offers to those one grade below the required grades - worth the risk on one choice.

Usual advice for your 5 choices is:

1 or 2 just above your predicted grades - risky choices

2 or 3 at your predicted grades - safe choices

1 well below your predicted grades - you'll get an offer

This means that you are likely to get several offers, and you will have an obvious Insurance choice.
