what does it mean rubisco "fixes" carbon dioxide
Rubisco is an enzyme within the stroma that combines carbon dioxide and ribulose bisphosphate to form two molecules of glycerate-3-phosphate. Therefore, the rubisco catalyses GP production by ‘fixing’ the carbon in CO2 to the RuBP :smile:

in addition to below, carbon dioxide joining RuBP is called 'carbon fixation' hence 'fixes'. hopefully this helps it make sense, also using carbon fixation itself is usually a mark alone if doing OCR A
