Harder than Papers 4 and 5, but was still good

did not like all the algebra stuff at the end
It was good, but it was definitely difficult. I know I have lost a mark for not drawing a cross on the plan view question. I got 1.316 for r. 426.87 for prism. 2.1 for the order 60.

It was 2 (x + 3/4)^2 - 169/8 but I forgot to divide by 2 so I got 169/16

How did you do the order 60 question

I believe each base angle on the isosceles was 6 degrees, because 60 of them was 360, so 1 was 6. Then I halved the base to 20, and used trigonometry. It was tan(6)x20=2.1(1dp)

I did that but instead of trig i used sine rule but i forgot what answer i got also wasn’t the base already 20 i think i halved it to 10 or something

So basically I made the original amount of books before she took 2 out equal to x, then since there wasn't any change to the amount of non-fiction books it meant that 3/5x=8/13(x-2), and then you rearrange from there to find x as 80, then take away 2 and get 78

I worked out the ratios I think they were 2:3 at first?? And then figured out 2/5 and 3/5 and then the ratios went to 5:8 correct me if I’m wrong and then did 5/13 and 8/13 and because it said that only the number of fiction changed, so I put them both out of /48 because 3x16=48 and 8x6 is 48 and then made it 32/48 (2x16) and 30/48 (5x6) and it shows that 2 fiction were taken out (32-30=2) and then I said the number of books in total was 30+48 = 78

Probably much lower since overall people have been saying its a hard paper, I think based on this paper on its own it's most likely going to be in the range of 75-80 for a 9

im probably being really stupid, but what did everyone get for the very first question? Found a lot of the actual maths/number stuff fine but this one stumped me. Ended up writing that there wasnt a title which made the chart a bit ambiguous :frown:
