Can I do MRes Neuroscience without a BSc Neuroscience?

I was wondering if I can do MRes Neuroscience without a Bachelors degree related to that field. I do have a Biomedical Science degree but I was thinking if doing MRes Neuroscience will be too tough for me as I did not do it as my honours.

Yes, but it depends on the individual degree.
I have found the following in a neuroscience related subject:
https://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/graduate/taught-degrees/cognitive-neuroscience-mres (biomed accepted)
https://courses.leeds.ac.uk/i920/neuroscience-mres#applying (biomed accepted)
https://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/subjects/neuroscience/neuroscience-mres/#entry-requirements (something in science, so presumably yes)
https://www.sussex.ac.uk/study/masters/courses/neuroscience-mres (something relevant, so yes)
https://www.imperial.ac.uk/study/courses/postgraduate-taught/experimental-neuroscience/ (vague)
https://www.ncl.ac.uk/postgraduate/degrees/4818f/ (life sciences, so yes)
https://www.manchester.ac.uk/study/masters/courses/list/18907/mres-cognitive-neuroscience-and-neuropsychology/entry-requirements/#course-profile (psychology or neuroscience, so no)
https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/pgstudy/course/research/neuroscience-neuropathology-phd#requirements (too vague to say)

I can't comment on that.

Hi there,

Our MRes Neuroscience course entry requirements include a Undergraduate degree at 2:2 or above from a UK University (or its Overseas equivalent) with a substantial biomedical component such as Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacology or Biochemistry. You can find out more about the course here!

Let us know if you have any questions about the course
All the best,
Sarah
Definitely! You already have a good foundational knowledge of cell biology which is necessary if you want to complete an MSc/MRes neuroscience degree. If you're applying you should show the admissions team what sparked your interest in neuroscience. Did you take any neuroscience modules or have work experience in this field? If you're thinking of applying go for it! Good luck!!
