Hi everyone!

I'm one of the current 4th Year MBBS students here at UCLan!
If you have any questions about life at UCLan, the medicine degree or any general university questions, I'm happy to help!

-Rebecca, UCLan
Hi I was just about to apply for my accommodation as a first year ( I already have a offer as I deferred entry to this year) and I was thinking either Roeburn or IQ Kopa, do you think these are good options for a first year for socialising and making friends etc?

Hi! Roeburn is a really good choice as the majority of students will also be in their first year so it's great for getting to know people! It is also on our campus so it is really close to your lectures!

I do hope you've found this helpful. If you would like to show your support, please consider leaving us your vote for Best Official Rep here: TSR Community Awards 2023: Best Official Rep Award - VOTING NOW OPEN - The Student Room

Hi, I’ve applied to study fashion but can’t attend the offer holder day, is there an option to submit portfolio online?

Hi there!

It would be best to contact our admissions teams ( [email protected] ) about this as they will be able to advise you about submitting your portfolio!

I hope this helps,
Rebecca

Hello,

I'm an incoming MBBS student and have to provide IELTS or equivalent. Is anyone able to clarify what counts as equivalent? I did high school, college, and uni in Ontario, Canada. I have my high school English literacy exam pass, which is a mandatory exam here for all high school students to pass. Would that be equivalent? Or is grade 12 English? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @jrae,

It's great to hear that you have applied for our MBBS Medicine & Surgery course! 😊

I've spoken to our admissions team who have said for our MBBS programme they can accept a Canadian High School Diploma Grade 12 English at grade 75% or above, OR Grade 11 English at 85% or above if you studied in Canada.

I hope this helps and do let me know if you have any questions.

All the best,
Sarah
Hey! I’m a conditional offer holder for undergraduate medicine from India. I’m looking forward to meet others in September and would love to connect with those who are also planning to commit to UCLan for medicine

Have you Started your Course yet?
I will be attending UCLan this September for Medicine and trying to make plan with my travelling. My course starts on September 16th, do you know if the 2024/25 full term calendar is available yet? Thank you.
