Learning disability nursing

So I’ve tried to get through to the University, but it’s a really busy time!

So basically in the past learning disability nurses didn’t have to learn to take blood and things like that, but then I realise at the University said that I will have to go in for clinical skills and I’m unsure of what this means now!

Can anybody clarify, whether or not learning book disability nurses have to learn how to take blood etc like other nurses do?

learning disabilities nurses will likely have to do some of the same skills as the other types of nurses, maybe including taking blood. ‘clinical skills’ is a broad term for skills like taking vitals, bed making, giving injections, handling samples etc so every area of nursing will have to do this
