modern languages degrees - how competitive is it to get a place?
i'm planning to apply to the university of edinburgh, manchester, leeds, birmingham and sheffield for a degree in japanese/chinese and japanese. i know the entry requirements for all of my choices, but i would like to know from anyone currently studying modern languages at any of these unis how competitive it appeared to be to get a place, or what the grades you achieved were?
