Hi! I’m joining UCLan for MSc Speech and Language Therapy, and was just wondering how long it roughly takes to receive your student card once you’ve submitted a picture? I submitted my picture almost 3 weeks ago, and I’m leaving for Preston on Monday but have yet to receive my card, so I’m scared I’m going to miss it! 😬

Are you joining us in a few weeks time? 🌹

The thought of making friends at University doesn't have to feel so scary. One of our students Nicol-Stella realised this when starting her studies at UCLan 3 years ago. After making a conscious effort to chat to people wherever possible, she found course mates to go to lunch with, or friends to grab a coffee with before lectures

Joining us this September 2025? 👋

The thought of making friends can often be scarier than actually doing it, and this was the exact situation student Nicol-Stella found herself in when starting at the University of Central Lancashire. Luckily, after making a conscious effort to chat to people wherever possible, she found course mates to go to lunch with, and made friends to grab a coffee with before lectures 📚✨

Not sure what UCAS points are, how they work and how to convert your grades?

Then look no further! ⬇️

We have a handy page with more information about what UCAS points are and how they work including examples. You can also use our calculator to work out your tariff points and check if you’re eligible for contextual admissions. You can access this and more here.
