ground floor student accom

i don't really want to come across as ungrateful since im quite lucky to have accom, but i ended up getting the ground floor and the negatives REALLY outweigh the postives which is annoying because im paying the same price as anyone else who is on the upper floors, it feels a bit unfair because i tried to apply for accom asap since it was a first come first serve basis, but not only did i not recieve either of my prefences, they just put me in one of the first rooms i think, which makes me regret trying to apply for accom straight away whilst other who did it later probably recieved a 'nicer' room not on thr ground floor, does anyone have any experiences with staying on the ground floor? i know someone has to stay on the ground floor but i didn't want to be the one to deal with it whilst having to pay so much for rent still :frown:
