I'm looking at Bristol as my first choice for Geography next year. My teacher told me that they have a preference for STEM subjects and love maths! That definitely put me off as that is not in any way my area of expertise. For anyone doing BSc Geo at Bristol who has a more social sciences/ liberal arts/ human geography preference, how did you find it? Especially the compulsory units on quantitative geography and spatial modelling!!
The What Uni guide says the most common A levels studied for Geography at Bristol are (in order):

Biology
Chemistry
Physics
So seems your teacher was right!
Have you been to an open day? It seems quant skills are a focus on that course and you can’t avoid doing it. They say on the open day if you are not keen don’t go to Bristol!
