Why is it not a russell group uni? It's pretty good

It doesn't do medicine. Yes that's it. Russel group is a term used to mean 'good uni' but a much more accurate description would be 'old uni with a medical school'.

Russell Group has nothing to do with teaching quality, its a research bidding club formed in 1994 - it is pretty much meaningless, but they did a good job on the propaganda . . .

Because RG is a nonsense - and Bath realised that and ignored them.

Bath, St Andrews, Lancaster, Loughborough - there are whole heap of Unis that are not RG and it doesnt seem to have held them back does it.
