Durham Entry Requirements | Scottish Qualifications

I am taking Advanced Higher German, Advanced Higher History, and Higher Politics.

Having scored AAAAB at Higher and AAAAAAB at N5.

Do I meet the entry requirements for the ancient history course at Durham?

Thanks.

Just a bit of confusion.

Hiya

The A-level requirements are AAA and the Scottish Higher equivalent is AAAAB, so yes you do meet the threshold. There are no formal GCSE/N5 requirements.

I've applied ancient history at Durham this year too and I'm also Scottish!! Did you do ahead with the application? I've hear they are generally slow to reply so I'm trying not to obsessive over it too much atm lol

Sorry to disturb, wanna to ask whether you think that advanced higher is not as competitive as alevel when applying to England’s universities

by no means an expert but. I think they are generally regarded the same however upon saying that all adv higher offer would be 3As- never a specified A* or band 1 if you're Scottish. majority advice is to apply with 3 adv higher as in most cases higher alone are insufficient
