How to study games design ?
you can get a games design degree(i wouldn't advise that as that is too niche on video games as apparently the industry is pretty toxic)
But if you're really set on it learn to code in C# or C++ as this is what most video games are based. Learn unity and other game engines. Play video games like a few hours a week.
Maybe get a computer science degree however if you have a good portfolio or small indie games it may not be necessary
