A level psychology help

When evaluating a study and discussing the sample, I'm a bit confused whether I should link to the generalisability, internal or external validity.
Internal - a varied sample will mean that any individual differences don't skew the results or produce any anomalies which means more accuracy.
External - the findings of the study are being linked to people outside the original sample
Generalisability - because you're talking about the sample - however my teacher said that a varied sample doesn't always mean high generalisability (I'm not sure why)

My teacher didn't really explain this properly so I'm a bit confused - can anyone please help?
Hey there, sorry no one's replied to you. I've moved your thread to the Psychology A-Level study help section where someone should hopefully spot this thread and help you!
