Solve the following equations for x.
2x^2-3x-1=0

X^5-3x^3-10x=0

6e^2x + 7e^x - 20 = 0

4e^-2x = 5

3^4x-5 = 2^x+3

What have you tried/what are you stuck with? The first two are standard quadratics and a simple cubic and the others are hidden/disguised variants involving logs

The best way is to post your working if you want it checked.

The third one is a hidden/disguised quadratic so you should have covered that at gcse. The fourth looks like you simply take logs and the fifth, assuming the -5 and +3 are part of the exponents, it look like you want to rearrange/take logs
