Good Technology Unis around the Midlands

What are some good Unis that do something like Technology like Cybersecurity/Software Engineering in the Midlands that I can apply for using UCAS.

I know of UoB but it’s looking unsafe to live in rn…
And I’m also interested in Warwick for a degree apprenticeship.

I’d be grateful if anyone can answer this question btw! If you rent/buy an apartment during Uni. Will you get FOMO from missing out Uni activities or not, compared to living in a dorm?
