Is insomnia worth mentioning in personal statement?

Stupid question, but I know you can include health issues which may affect your grades.
I have had absolutely chronic insomnia for months now and it has made me really underperform in my exams + majorly affected my attendance. Just don't know if it is serious enough to include :/
This shouldn’t be in your PS.
Situations that have impacted your studies belong in your reference.

I would not mention that, if you have some kind of medical evidence e.g letter from GP and can show it to your referee and ask them to mention it as an extenuating circumstance.
