do foundation doctors have to move around a lot? is there a lack of stability?
Define "a lot." Most foundation jobs will be one year each in two different hospitals - though there are a few which have both years in the same one, and a few others where there are split site trusts so you actually work at more hospitals. These hospitals will be in the same rough region of the country, but that's all.
Medical training as a whole requires lots of moving around, it's not just the foundation years.
