How does insulin affect the respiratory rate of cells ?
Reply 1
When insulin is produced in the Islets of Langerhans, it reduces blood glucose levels by turning glucose into glycogen and storing it. This means that there is then less glucose available for aerobic respiration in the cells as more is being stored, so the rate of respiration would decrease
