Placements area

Hello,

42 years old, 1 child and I applied to study Nursing at the University of Sheffield and Derby University. I've tried to find information regarding the areas of placements in general so that I can have an idea however, I was unable to find it.

Is it possible to have some advise on this please?

If by "areas of placement" you mean locations:

•

By studying at University of Derby, youll be placed predominantly in healthcare settings in Derby and the surrounding area.

•

By studying at University of Sheffield, you'll be placed predominantly in healthcare settings in Sheffield and the surrounding area.

If you mean what type of placement and specialities you'll be sent on... as long as nurses are involved in the job, you can be sent there. So that can be any area of hospital care, district nurses, nursing homes, GP practices, hospital and community specialist nurses, hospices.

Hi Maika, which uni did you decide to go with? I have a place at uni of Sheffield, I’m 41 with 3 children so I’m also going as a mature student so I’m really nervous!
