Mental health issues

Someone who I really care about has mental health issues. They also take pot which isn't helping either. my fam and I all encourage them to seek help or to talk to us.

But they prefer to keep things bottled up.

They are blaming us for their mental health problems and they think we are all against them.

They are being a attention-seeker, they want us to fix their issues cause we caused it.

They've stopped engaging with us now.

It makes me feel sad like I've done something wrong.

We had a good upbringing

What can I do?

I think the best thing would be to give them some space, but offer them support and encouragement if they ask for (i.e. encourage them to seek professional mental health support).

Just to add to excellent post above, many of those organisations offer advice or support for you or anyone who is concerned about the mental health of others. Papyrus helpline is very good to contact if you are concerned that someone may be considering ending their life. Do contact them if you are concerned for your friend.
