English language timing

Hi everyone,
I am doing English language GCSE and in the fiction paper I have been really struggling with time. My teacher suggested 2 paragraphs for Q2 (10 mins), 3 for Q3 (10 mins) and 4 for Q4 (20 mins) and however much you feel like for Q5 (45 mins) (with 5 mins for Q1 and 10 minutes of reading/trying to come up with and idea) but I can’t do it in the time. I average 3 pages in hr on full pelt so I am not a slow writer but I just can’t comprehend the text and write this in the time. Is this a me issue or does anyone have any suggestions? I.e how to write less.
