NEA proposal question

Are we allowed to update our proposal form after it's been signed off (not handed in just approved by a teacher)?

I updated mine after my pilot study because I thought I was supposed to but my teacher isn't sure if that's allowed. I even called OCR and they didn't even understand what I was talking about. I've already written most of my NEA based on the updated proposal

Hi, you do not update the proposal form but keep your changes in your nea

The examiners like to see that your investigation has involved so it's fine if your nea differs from the initial form slightly
I'm having a similar sort of issue, Im not sure what subject yours is for but I'm doing history and the proposal form that i submitted has the page range I intended to use for one of the books but I'm now probably going to use more than that. Is this fine or am I limited to what I originally put? I would ask my teacher but he scares me.

Can't say for history for sure but my geography teachers emphasised a proposal form is just that: a proposal. It would be insane if you stuck exactly to the initial plan and you knew exactly what you were doing from the get go.

Also it's not marked in geography so if it isn't in history it shouldn't matter surely.

Just for reassurance, my proposal form was rejected and I can't change that- it's going to be the first page of my nea that the external moderator sees. Despite this my teachers are confident I will get one of the highest marks.

Im sure changes can not be viewed in a negative light whatsoever, and if anything I think they show you've become a better student.

If your unsure maybe ask a different history teacher you know? But I hope that makes you feel reassured
