Auuugh this is just like Jaffa Cakes all over again.
Jaffa Cakes are classified as cakes, which makes them exempt from VAT. However in 1991 Customs and Excise took them to court, because they wanted to make them chocolate covered biscuits which are not VAT exempt. Biscuits soften when stale, cakes harden when stale. What do Jaffa Cakes do? Go hard. Jaffa Cakes are just mini cakes. McVities won the case. I love using that in an argument over Jaffa Cakes. It always wins.
Oh, and Mini Cheddars are biscuits. They are baked, and mini versions of a biscuit. Also crisps are thin slices, which Mini Cheddars simply are not.
They may be in the 'crisps' aisle, but the aisle is more correctly just for savoury snacks in general - strictly speaking, monster munch or wotsits aren't crisps either - they're corn snacks.
I class them as biscuits/crackers. This qualifies me to eat them as I'm not eating crisps atm!
haha yeh thats what started it off with me i went to get some before i went to sixth form and my mum said i thought you werent eating any crisps for a while and i said they are not crisps so that I could have them lol
