Why do you/someone you know don't drink alcohol?

Link? Could be for many reasons. I, for example, come on to tsr more often than is probably healthy and I don't remember seeing it.

Also, this thread and the one you mention talk about do you drink (now, in the present), while the drugs one is about have you ever (at any time). I have no doubt that more people (on TSR or otherwise) have tried alcohol than have tried drugs.

Oh please shut up, you think you are better than someone who has taken drugs recreationally? It's not as if the people you are talking about are addicts, they are people who choose to try something different.. You may not agree with it, but don't act high and mighty because you have never tried them.

So, if a friend of yours has taken drugs in the past, they are suddenly less of a person to you?

As some other people said, taste buds prefer non-alcoholic drinks. Although a glass of wine every now and again is actually beneficial to one's health, so I force it down my throat occasionally. Then again there are sweet drinks that I adore, cocktails can be amazing.

Nobody I know would be stupid enough to consume something, when they had no real idea what it was, or where it came from. True story.

The only reason someone would drink would be to impress someone, or 'cause they can't have a good time without it.
