next thing i know she stands up, drops her towel and stands there starkers for a few moments still chatting to me. I've seen her boobs before but never the whole hog, wasn't sure where to look or what. anyway she hung the towel up, jumped on the bed next to me grabbed the tv remote and carried on as if nothing was amiss.

Maybe that's just it then. Maybe she does only see you as a friend and just thought you wouldn't mind seeing as you've never 'put the moves' on her and you've already seen her in her undies and topless before.
