Not quite the same- but I think I actually prefer the second pair, look a bit sharper. Thanks

Opinions on these for nights out?

I know they're all firetrap, but I'm not bothered about the brand, just want a cheapish pair that will last for a while that aren't plimsoles.

I definitely like #2/3, but make sure you're wearing them with the right kind of trousers. #2 should go with something casual like jeans, but #3 would look better, I think, with smarter trousers like a suit bottom.

Thought the same about number 3, just threw it in cause it was different from the other 2.
I'll only really use what I'm buying for nights out at uni and as formal events will be rare, I'll probably end up getting #2.

Relatively comfy, not much of a burden (e.g. compare to boots), pretty discrete-looking, not either too formal or too casual.

I wear these, but make them look alot cooler by doing the lacing up half way and having the tongue out, with a pair of black skinny jeans.

Or Chelsea boots.

They might be practical, but that square toe is pretty much a fashion crime.

Yeah those look good for most student night outs.

Something like this goes well with dark blue jeans (not black jeans) http://media.burton.co.uk/wcsstore/Burton//images/catalog/79F86VNAT_normal.jpg

I have worn shoes like that with black jeans :/ Why is it so bad? Or just a fashion crime?

I wear these but in light brown:

they're from Zara and were only £25 IIRC (it was a spur of the moment buy).

I have these too

paid £55 for them and cut them open on broken glass a week after I bought them:angry:

I don't know much about fashion, but those sorts of shoes always confused me, in the fact that they don't look designed for human feet.
