ALSO Merton has specialists in Chinese politics, economics, history etc. so I can take those modules in 2nd and third year! IT was really tough though
Balliol & Merton's tutors both do topics I'm interested in and I actually read one of the Balliol's book.
BUT in the end. Merton is pretty! also Univ is right next to the examination school so it gets super noisy during the summer... or so I've heard.

Yes, Merton's architecture is beautiful from what I've seen. It's also really close to Univ, so stop by sometimes next year
Haha, I always thought about it as a way of not having to wake up early, since the examination school is right next to the college

Someone from my school applied for Ancient & Modern History and was given a place for the normal single honours History
so it depends, I guess that the advantage of applying to a massive school like History, but there are also many more applicants than for some of the smaller subjects!Original post by ReBee
