oh i see.
then ye that test was an alright paper.
did anyone else get loop of henle in the micrograph picture as A?
and the bowmans capsule as B?

Damn, I wrote A as tissue fluid. I feel thick now. :C

I wrote Bowman's/renal capsule as B.

I put the same thing about the beads.

For the cholorplast I put
Cell Wall
Granum
Stroma
Lamellae

The pictures are so unclear though.

that bit i got:
not in order!
stack of grana
intergranalamallae
stroma
outer membrane

Yeah sorry I put outer membrane not cell wall. I was worried for a sec.

I put outer membrane of chloroplast envelope
Granum
Stroma
lamella
(might not b the right order)
For the other diagram I put proximal convoluted tubule and bowman's renal capsule.
What did you guys get for why should a kidney transplant be a close match?

Think it's the collecting duct. Shame as I wrote the same as you :frown:

what did you get as the name of the condition where glucose was present in the urine.
i put kidney damage??/

I put sugar diabetes.

The picture micrograph was through the cortex not the medulla. So it is the PCT

It's not cell wall - the chloroplast is inside the cell!

Chloroplast outer membrane
Grana (stacks of thylakoids)
Stroma
Inergranal Lamellae

GLASS BEADS!... WTF?! I have definitely lost about 8 marks on that question. Made some very random guesses (at least the examiner will be amused!).

I put sugar diabetes.

isnt it hypertension (high blood pressure)?
Ah crap I think I got the grana and lamellae the wrong way round

And for the kidney one I put Bowman's capsule and collecting duct. :-/ I don't know if that's right.

The collecting duct is located in the cortex too, have a look in your textbook. The cellular structure is the exact same as the one we were asked to label earlier. Although I do hope you're correct as I wrote convoluted tubule!

Yeah, that seems right I had to guess as I was running out of time!

Diabetes is correct as well.

Glycosuria or glucosuria is the excretion of glucose into the urine. Ordinarily, urine contains no glucose because the kidneys are able to reclaim all of the filtered glucose back into the bloodstream. Glycosuria is nearly always caused by elevated blood glucose levels, most commonly due to untreated diabetes mellitus.

Outer membrane of the chloroplast and the cell wall are two completely different things!

but the paper said it was an image of the renal cortex...

Oh okay, but do you think will they accept sugar for mellitus?

lol
i meant he wrote outer membrane in the exam but coincidently wrote cell wall here lol
