Which diseases do we need to memorize and how much detail do we need to know for each one? ( for topic five)
you need to know these pathogens - cholera, tuberculosis, chalara dieback, malaria and AIDS, and you need to know the symptoms for each one
also need to know symptoms of each deficiency in plants i'm pretty sure

I know you need to know a great deal about cardiovascular disease, how smoking effects the lungs and how alcohol affects the liver. Check the specification in case I missed anything: GCSE Biology (pearson.com) page 24 you'll probably find what you're looking for

If you mean for other subjects then yeah they have specifications for all their subjects just search up 'edexcel gcse (subject name) specification'.

yes you need to know about transcription and translation (if you take higher)
my biology teacher is saying human insulin production from a bacterial cell is very likely come up. also, last year's 6 markers was plant disease and reflex arc so those won't come up. my predictions are gna be a six marker on b5 definitely because that's a huge topic and then a six marker on b4 - natural selection, probably like the fossils that show human evolution (eg. ardi, lucy)

insulin production came up for 2022, kinda unlikely ngl
