It's not difficult to understand conceptually. At AS it's not a difficult subject...but at A2 the level of information needed gets a bit ridiculous :/ are you on AQA A?

Its AQA B
What's the difference? Any idea?

I'm pretty sure it's just the modules you learn, could be wrong though. I haven't actually looked at the spec. for AQA B.
im gonna look into my options this week and hopefully i will keep you all updated.

I am in my A2 year and I follow the AQA(B) spec.

Below are the books I highly recommend to you, steer clear of any Nelson Thorne books! They are awful..

Textbook: http://www.amazon.co.uk/AQA-Psychology-AS-Level/dp/0340947020/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1365429761&sr=8-2&keywords=aqa+b+psychology+as
This is great, it is a bit pricey but I'm sure you could pick up one cheap on eBay. Your centre might even provide you with this book.

As far as revision guides go, the Philip Allan ones are the best! I use them for A2 and they have been amazing (got an A* in psyb3)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/AQA-Psychology-Student-Unit-Guide/dp/1444162217/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1365429761&sr=8-4&keywords=aqa+b+psychology+as

http://www.amazon.co.uk/AQA-Psychology-Student-Unit-Guide/dp/1444162241/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1365429761&sr=8-3&keywords=aqa+b+psychology+as

Hope this helps you! and good luck

Hey Nicole,

Thanks for that! That's really helpful. Have you used this book before....

http://www.amazon.co.uk/AQA-Psychology-AS-Students-Level/dp/0748798269/ref=sr_1_4?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1365430190&sr=1-4&keywords=aqa+b+psychology

this is the one that a lot of people seem to be recommending.

We got given the one I put in the link in my previous post at school. I've not seen it for AS but for A2 it is absolutely awful! Way too vague, e.g. an essay question came up on the function of attachment in psyb3 and in that book for A2 it had 3 paragraphs. In the hodder education book, like the one i sent you for AS, that book at A2 dealt with the function of attachment much more effectively!
Hey all,

Considering Psychology for next year but am slightly worried about the amount of information needed to be learnt for the exams - compounded with the fact that the exams are all in May/June.
Is it really as hard as people make it out to be? I'm really interested in the subject and may want to pursue a career in it.

Are you considering taking psychology at a college or home study / distance learning? x

Hey every one, I just wanted to ask some advice. Im taking A Level Psych on a home learning course with ICS. Im aiming for the May and June 2014 exams. And Im hoping to sit all exams AS and A2 at this time. I know normally if your at college you would spend a year on AS then the 2nd year on A2. But with ICS you only get 18 months tutor support so im kinda having to cram 2 years in to just over a year. Do you think this is do-able? or am I being a little optimistic? It gives me 3 months per unit before sitting the exams. xx
I'm considering it this year
